The quality of the streams you receive relies heavily on the type
of modem you have and your connection speed at the time of the download.
The streams here at Shammer.com will always be posted at as many speeds
as
possible. Please understand that some streams are not suitable for slower
speeds.
It is always our first goal to present media that looks good.
56K
Streams - Streams posted at 56K are recommended for users
with slower modems and connection speeds.
Users with 56K modems can download the streams in either 56K or ISDN
formats.
The
incoming stream for Real Media clips posted at 56K is actually around
34K. The
ISDN
clips actually stream in at about 45K or so. ISDN streams will be higher
quality,
although
they may take a few extra seconds to start.
ISDN
Streams - The ISDN streams posted here stream in at about 45K. I
recommend the ISDN streams
for users with 56K modems or better. These clips will have sharper
images and smoother
motion than the same clip posted at 56K. If for some reason the
clip doesn't start, you
may have a slow connection to the net. In this case, either try reconnecting
to the net,
or choose a slower stream.
